Oh, What a Night!

Another great night with Mom and the quilting friends!  There was a quilt show and lecture at a high school near us, and fun was had by all!

Some photos to add to the inspiration binder:

{Sorry, I know they aren't the best photos, I was trying to take them quick before the speaker was to start!}

Oh, and the speaker was Maxine Rosenthal who wrote the One Block Wonder books!  And Dani & I got to be a couple of her "holders & folders".  Yeah, and Dani, Katie, & I were by far the three youngest chicks in there...

Speaking of which, us girls thought of a name for our Tuesday Night Sewing Date group...

3 Young Chicks & A Hot Hen!

There had been a lot of debating and laughing and such, but I think that is what we've settled on :o)

So Mom has her Binding Buddies, and I have my 3 Young Chicks (Dani, Katie, and me) & A Hot Hen (why Mom of course!!).

Such a great night, and so many more to be had....

Don't forget to sign up for my giveaway*Ends tomorrow night (3/5) at 11:59pm CST!

Tons of Inspiration!

Today will be a photo-filled day of photos from my adventure with Mom yesterday.  We were off to a quilt show with a wonderful bed-turning!

First off....this was what we saw on our drive to the quilt show and back:

Driving through rural southern Minnesota on an overcast and snowy day leaves for a hard time deciphering the sky from the ground in the distance.

I want to make one like this for my sewing room!

Love the ruffles!  Someday I may
make the venture to do this....

Such luscious colors!!

Great edges!  Love that it isn't all just straight :o)
Curved? Who would've thought??

Oh how I love Figgy Pudding!

Beautiful Stack-N-Whack 4-Patch

Mom - if you remember when some of the quilts shown in the bed-turning were made, let me know and I'll add the dates in on here.  Thanks!  Love ya!

So many absolutely beautiful quilts at the show, and so much inspiration floating around, I was just ready to get home and work on my flower garden!!

We're off to another show and lecture tomorrow for our Tuesday Night Sewing Date!  More pictures to come after that show!!

Always,
