Ongoing post..

Just to let you know, I'm sure this post will be updated later in the night, I just wanted to get something out there quick now.

I went to mom's to sew the binding on the other 3 place mats, and then have been working on hand-sewing to finish them, and I now have 2 completely finished! Also, when I got there, mom had some selvages for me!! The beginning of my collection! So for all of you out there, if you usually just throw the selvages away, and want to send them to a good home, I will provide that for them :o) In a little container that I put the others in from mom :o)

Thank you Salami!

I made a list today of all the quilts/projects that I want to get done this summer, and I hope that is exactly the push that I need to not procrastinate. If you know me, you know that I have a tendency to procrastinate. In fact, a couple friends and I in college started a little group (not for real,... but we were true members), P.O.P - Princesses of Procrastination! Me and my P.O.P. girls will forever be bound by not getting things done quickly!

Okay, so maybe that wasn't as much as I thought it would be, but like I said, I'll be back later...

And I'm back! With 3 place mats completely finished, and the 4th on its way there. Also, something I forgot to blog about before...so I think I will be adding another project into the mix. I've been checking out lots of blogs, especially Crazy Mom Quilts, one that I love reading! Well, AmandaJean over there has been doing her "One A Day" Quilt Along of making one 9-patch block a day to eventually have enough for a quilt. I think they may be about done with their days making the blocks, and of course, I've been toying with the idea to do it the whole time, just haven't jumped on the bandwagon. Well, I've decided I will be washing the fabric soon, and will be making my "Summer Fun 9-Patch" quilt soon! I already know what fabrics I'll be using, and may dig thru mom's stash as well to add a couple more. Can't wait to get the fun started! You can never have too many quilts, right?!?

Well, I'm off to bed to dream of sugar plums and quilt blocks!

What do you do with the selveges?

Hey! I haven't done anything as of yet, just starting my little stash of them. But there is a great blog http://selvageblog.blogspot.com/ all about what you can do with your selvage pieces. I hope someday to have enough to make a spiderweb quilt!
