An afternoon of Celebration!

First I have to say, Happy 4th of July to all!!  And so many thanks to those who have served for our country in order for us to all have this wonderful freedom!

Now, onto another recent celebration!

Mom is officially retired, and we celebrated that last Tuesday at 3 Young Chicks & a Hot Hen!!  We had a delicious pot roast, a picnic on the deck, Grasshoppers, and a wonderful cake that Dani brought!

Picnic on the deck complete with a Red & White checked table cloth!

The delicious cake Dani brought - that's right...3 Young Chicks, the Hot Hen and a quilt!!  Love it!

We then quilted our little hearts out with Grasshoppers in hand :o)

I also have another recent finish, the Disappearing 9-Patch/Katy Flare quilt that I had been working on during our Tuesday Night sewing dates.    It was made with Folkart Fancies fabric that I had been collecting for a while, always loved them - but never knew what I would do with them!

Finishing hand sewing the binding!  A good pic of the gorgeous flannel back I found!

All finished!!  And I'm in love....again!  How many times can you fall in love with fabric???

Well, I think that will be it for today, I'll have more later!  Off to celebrate with a delicious dinner then fireworks with the fam jam!

Always,
